Villain is a signature item of MADROCK athlete Mmatt Fultz, who continues to take on the world’s most difficult problems, and is a limited production item for this one-time only.
The base is the Drone 2, but it has been customized to Matt’s specifications as well as the coloring.
The polycarbonate midsole is a shorter half type than the Drone 2, making it easier to smear.
The Drone 2 has an aggressive down-toe design, but the Villain uses a slightly flatter last.
The heel tension rubber is positioned higher, so you can expect a firmer hold.
The heel cup last is slightly wider.Compared to the Drone 2, it feels wider and slightly softer overall, making it easier to put on. The rubber is the same Science Friction 3.0 as the Drone 2, and technologies such as compression molding technology have been introduced.
It is a product that is perfect for outdoor bouldering, as is typical of Matt Fultz.
It is a product that pays homage to American comic villains.
